There have been so many great header's posted on this board throughout the years of its existance. I thought it might be kind of cool to post some of your favorites so we can all take a look and them and, ahh, share the memories (I'm in a good mood today guys!) and, hmm...remember them. I don't know, maybe we could narrow it down and come up with the top ten best header's or something. Dude, seriously.
Two of my favorites that come to mind is one that was posted in 2002 (I think) but was actually from the Steel Wheels era where Mick and Keith are on an airplane and their both laughing. I think there was even a caption thread for it. Another favorite was the picture of Mick circa 1967 where he's dancing and looks extremely...well gay (not quite as gay as the cock dance of '76, but thats a different story all together). It's not that I particularly enjoy the picture (if I can be in defense of my heterosexuality), but I just remember all the replies to it...they were hilarious. That one definately needs to make another appearence.
Anyone?...

Great idea, many of the headers are in the archives as header but not all as the archive is generated when the board reaches 150 threads; so some header are in the archives but inside the threads and some are up on the web but not linked

Actually, the photo is by Claude Gassian, although I've seen it credited to Mark Seliger too. Gassian did an exhibition in Paris a few years ago, and the photo was there. I even interviewed Gassian (*insert proud smiley here*)! He's one hell of a concert&backstage photographer -- as far as I remember, he also shot the photo on the cover of Keith's "Run Rudolph Run".

You're right! I have that Mark Seliger book, Physiognomy, and his pics of Mick and Keith are both portrait-type shots. The one of them on the plane is in one of my big Stones books, but I can't remember which one, and I'm too sleepy to go through my bookshelves. Thanks for clearing that up. I've been working on files all morning, separating photos of the Stones by Neal Preston, Henry Diltz, Michael Putland, Annie Leibovitz, Kevin Mazur, and many more, so they're all starting to look the same.
That is very cool that you interviewed Claude Gassian - his photographs are extraordinary.
Thanks! |

I know I had it on my cocktail table for quite some time before I moved it to my bookshelves. I'm too tired to remember right now, or else I'd help you.
And I haven't forgotten about your pics either. I'm just bogged down with this photo project at the moment, and I will get around to it later. I'm just about sick of looking at pictures at the moment. |

No problem, Gypsy! I have a personal photo project I'm doing here so I can identify with the "Enough already!" feeling... |

Okay. Good. I'm usually quite prompt...but I am so tired right now. It'll be worth it when I'm done though. I'll email you with some details of what I'm doing - it's Stones-related, natch. |

Hi Gypsy! You're getting ready for a Superblow-a-thon?
I have trouble finding a good version of the Run Rudolph cover on the net, but here is what it looks like:

Hey caro! I have that same cover art photo for my Run Rudolph Run. I usually just end up making my own cover art. If you need any pics, just email me and I bet we could make our own better cover art. |

lux, I apologize for sending it to him. I swear I had no idea he would use it as a header, or I wouldn't have sent it to him. Just kidding. We love our Voodoo - he keeps this message board alive. |

I have to agree....nauseating photo.
Mick's "white boy" dancing is disturbing.

All time best is the photo of Keith, alone at some dive bar
with a bottle of Jack Daniels in front of him
Someone said it was a bar near the airport in NY and he was waiting on a flight
Please, someone, anyone post that pic |

1. Radio was invented; Cubs fans got to hear their team lose.
2. TV was invented; Cubs fans got to see their team lose.
3. Baseball added 14 teams; Cubs fans get to see and hear their team lose to more clubs.
4. George Burns celebrated his 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th, 90th and 100th birthdays.
5. Haley's comet passed Earth twice.
6. Harry Caray was born....and died. Incredible, but true.

13. Wrigley Field was built and becomes the oldest park in the National League.
14. Flag poles were erected on Wrigley Field roof to hold all of the team's future World Series pennants. Those flag poles have since rusted and been taken down.

16. Thirteen baseball players have won the Triple Crown; several thanked Cubs pitchers.
17. Bell-bottoms came in style, went out of style and came back in.
