texile the price is right!
i remember actually waking up in the summer to watch that as a kid.
i love how the show still uses the same theme song, sets, rice-a-roni, turtle wax etc....i mean, it seems stuck in the 70s! that's part of its charm.

that was the point - it was a satire on american blue-collar/middle class bigotry and how we accept it.
yes, it was in concept a period piece -
but a brilliantly human one.
