Yeah, I'm sure He'd approve of a song about screwing someone else's wife and another one which vividly relates indulging in extra marital cunnilingus !

guitarman53 Jesus would love all Stones music, after the Village People (Y.M.C.A) threw Stones at the woman, Jesus picked up a Stone & said "If you are without sin, Then you can cast the first Stone"

steel driving hammer I was looking for the Budda? And I saw Jesus H?

Ah, maybe.
17th January 2008 08:03 PM
nanatod He'd like "Just Want to See His Face" off of Exile on Main Street.

But if he'd want my opinion, I'd recommend Memo from Turner, Monkey Man, Country Honk, Off the Hook, Silver Train, Bitch, Ventilator Blues, and a couple of others. And, I'd tell him to listen to Ry Cooder's solo album, Paradise and Lunch, especially "Jesus on the Mainline."

The best part about "Jesus on the Mainline" is how "Married Man's a Fool" leads into it. I consider Paradise and Lunch as kind of a song cycle. Imagine if Cooder had joined the Stones more often in the studio, or if he had become kind of a junior member of the band. Would some of the bluesy grit and slide guitar he's known for have changed some of the latter day Stones albums?
