annieProchera tonight's show in SBC park. Call me. Ticketfast tickets. Great seats. Orig $120 each. WIll sell both for $100. You can pay me after the show. OR I can call will call and leave them in your name. No joke. I'd hate to see these tickets go in the trash.

Saint Sway only could a $100 Stones ticket be called "practically free"

yeah, I guess by Stones inflated ticket price standards a hundred dollar ticket is nearly a freebie

pitiful
November 14th, 2005 03:46 PM
Dan 3 mins after Metallica went on, the tickets would have to be a lot closer to free for me to take them off your hands.

and kudos to the individual offering to give them up by trusting a board member to pay them after the show. That was very nice of you!

rocker we have some ungrateful floks on our board. sounds like a good deal to me

Saint Sway the offer is with a doubt very generous and extremely cool of her and she should be commended for it.

but just bc Stones ticket prices are so astronomcial, lets not fool ourselves into believing that $100 for a pair of tix are freebies.

nothing against the offer. More of a commentary on how, as Stones fanatics, we tend to rationalize certain things

too many folks here have already bought into the false-hype that Bang is the best record since Exile.

Lets just try and stay somewhat level headed is all I'm saying.

the fact that someone offering tickets at a significant discount of face value and yet still causes a negative post is humiliating. We (true stones fans) have been humbled by the recent treatment of the stones by board regulars, as if all are members of the English press. Sadly, this will only get worse as the stones are able to generate more income.

I AGREE!!!

Annie, I apologize for that guy, whoever he is! Don't let him spoil your good kharmna. $ 100 for 2 tickets is a gift. If i didn't live 2600 miles away I'd give you the money.

Dan I never mentioned "almost free" on my Fresno ticket but I did invite ANY offers. Still might just have to burn the sucker though.

This may be the best post of the last few weeks.

You shall be greeted and I am sure you understand the plusses and minusses that come with being a big/tall man.

How bout those bears and sox???

plusses:
1) people get out of your way
2) some chicks secretly dig big guys
3) being able to hold your liquor
4) getting asked if you played football

minusses
1) going upstairs or ladders
2) fitting into airline seats
3) having some difficulty performing acrobatic sex acts
4) having a hard time finding Rolling Stones T-Shirts

Bears: 20 years since the Super Bowl Shuffle
White Sox: 88 years of frustration have vanished but I'm guessing next season they'll still be Chicago's 2nd favorite MLB team

voodoopug you are quickly raising the bar for posters everywhere! I think they need to win about 2-3 straight World Series to overtake Tribune Co and their world famous beer garden.

SOme other plusses:

1. in business negotiations, you are inately intimidating
2. women feel more secure with you
3. You dont have to get the "little big man syndrome"
4. you have bigger shoulders to hold a guitar for longer periods of time without fatigue.

Some more minuses:

1. Inopportune perspiration
2. riding in the backseat
3. sharing a fullsize/twin bed (We share a king!)
4. using the middle urinal
5. Deep Dish Pizza

for additional plusses and minuses, see LBJ circa 1963-1968

I will only know that I have made it when I appear on your people I want to drink with list. Of course there is a limit to the amount of Old Style I am willing to drink before I need to switch to Guiness or something. Yes, Wrigley Field is the best outdoor drinking festival known to man. The ivy covered walls, scenic Waveland Ave back drops and the various drinking establishments on Clark, Halsted and Sheffield are probably impossible to overcome. When I come back to the city I usually take the El to Fullerton, get off ad start wandering aimlessly until my money and sobriety have been exhausted at which time I find my way back to wherever it is I'm staying.

Although I was born in Hyde Park I spent most of my life on the North side, so I feel more comfortable there. Ever been to Lincoln Park Gyros?
