Topic: mt's suit in current header Return to archive
11-03-03 12:40 AM
stonedinaustralia no wonder mt bitches about unpaid royalties if that's the best suit he's got

it looks like it was bought in a second hand clothing shop and has been slept in for a week or two

imagine if he was still in the stones and he rolled up to a gig dressed like that!!!
11-03-03 07:43 AM
Sir Stonesalot Hey man, lay off the suit.

My pal, Omar the Tent Maker worked long hours on that thing. It is made from the finest polyester that can be synthesized. And it's SUPPOSED to look all rumpled. Omar called it his "desheveled suit". He was trying to start a fashion fad...but it only caught on with homeless people and drunks.
11-03-03 09:13 AM
Zeeta The suit is actually well fitting - it is skin tight and the ripples on his legs actually is MT's celulite pressing against the tarpaulin handcrafted by Omar!!

!

nankerphelge That's funny as hell Zeet!

VoodooChileInWOnderl Have you no shame people? Mick was hired by John Mayall and John expressed "I doubt if there could be a better choice than Mick Taylor who really shows his brilliance on this new album. He has worked with me longer than any other guitarist Ive had and I hope that well continue as a team fir a long time to come", after having players like Sammy Prosser, Bernie Watson , Roger Dean, Eric Clapton, and Peter Green between others. Mick Taylor was only 19 years old.

Then joined the Rolling Stones as a full member and made outstanding contributions to the greatest band in the fucking world

He recorded and toured with Bob Dylan and many more, he is a living legend and now you are complaining because of that, come on!!! Probably he's closer to the original "Rolling Stone" concept than any other member and side musician and even you fans

obFZ: We're only in it for the music

VoodooChileInWOnderl Just imagine that jam!

jb As a conoisseur of fine suits, I can tell you the fabric and hand stitching is what matters. If you cannot get a "tailor" made suit(pardon the pun), my suggestions are the following:1) Brioni 2)Zegna 3)Kiton(very hard to find, but worth the effort)4)Armani( a little played out, but still a great suit) 5)Hickey-Freeman (a bit conservative, but the made in Italy line is fabulous) 6)Hugo Boss (Italian label only...these babies cost about $1600, BUT FAR SUPERIOR to the American made ones that sell for about $800).
Lastly, tailoring is everything..a good tailor can make even a less expensive suit look great. Some helpful tips are do not cuff flat front pants as opposed to single or double pleated trousers...Wearing sleeves that cover your shirt cuffs is inappropriate...show a little cuff .and throw in a nice pair of cuff links for addes style...Also, as well dressed as you are, a dull, unshined pair of shoes can ruin the overall appearence...Lace up shoes are always classy and for fall a dress boot is fantastic...Good luck and if you need any other fashion advice , pleae do not hesitiate to ask.....

nankerphelge You are going to lose them all in the divorce!
You will be shopping at Men's Warehouse very soon!
You will wear the "Made in Canada" lines proudly!

11-03-03 10:37 AM
jb Do not, I repeat, do not buy a suit made in Canada. In addition, never buy a suit from places like "The Mens Wearhouse" or 'Syms"....
11-03-03 10:40 AM
nankerphelge Careful jb!
I bet you'll have your Men's Wearhouse card very soon!

And your wife's new slam piece will be wearing your Italian suits around town!

I was not questioning the guys integrity as a musician, man! He is unquestionably THE best guitarist the Stones ever had and contributed amazing work whilst with the Stones. Just had a cheap dig at the suit, so fuckin' shoot me!

Sorry, I was worng with that one,

He's by far the closest to the original "Rolling Stone" concept; he's a rolling stone in the sense of the word... and he gathers no moss

stickyturd Hey all you jerks who are complaining about Taylor's suit...

It doesn't have half the wrinkles Keith's face does, so you have three choices:
--Give Taylor a break
--rip Keith equally
--fuck off.

stonedinaustralia hey stickyturd - welcome aboard - great handle by the way

no-one's giving mt a hard time just some light hearted comments about the state of his suit...what's the big deal about that?? - let's face it, it certainly looks like it could do with a good press

see other thread for posts re keith's choice of headgear

cheers for now...
