EXCELLENT!
MAGNIFICO!
10 / 10 !
are just a few ways of describing "streetcore".

the new album from the late Joe Strummer (Aug 21, 1952 in Ankara, Turkey -- Dec 22, 2002 in Broomfield, Somerset, England) and his band the Mescaleros is an amazing acomplishment.
the former clash member has brought us yet another Rock & Roll, Urban Folk, Punk, Garage Rock, Dub, Roots Reggae album.

it takes us beyond london calling.
it takes us to somewhere nice.
it takes us to the hearth and soul of Mr Strummer.

it's really one of the greatest records in a long long time.

purrcafe Glad to hear that it is a proper send off. What a shame that we lost him so young. Truly, truly one of the greats. I saw the Clash a bunch of times, and years later went to see Joe and the Mescaleros. It was a thrill to just be able to close my eyes and hear that voice belting out London Calling again. Really sad that I won't have that chance again, but really happy that I did grab that last memory.
