Mick did a telephone press conference with Peter Karp today. Mick and Peter are quite enthused about the upcoming gigs here in the NY-NJ-PA area in the coming weeks. I heard a few of the comments from one reporter and have to say how classy a gentleman Mick is. Below is some info. I hear the Piermont shows are already sold out. The Bottom Line went to court today about some financial problems they are having. Hopefuly they will be ok. Cheers, Greg
Legendary Rolling Stones' guitarist Mick Taylor will perform with NJ musician Peter Karp in a rare U.S. tour. Venues are:
-- Friday, Nov. 7, The Bottom Line, NYC, doors open 6 p.m. for 7:30 show, 10 p.m. for 10:30 show, all seats $20
-- Saturday, Nov. 8, The Turning Point, Piermont, NY, 7:30 and 10:15 p.m., $30
-- Tuesday, Nov. 11, The Tin Angel, Philadelphia, 7 and 9:30 p.m., $20
-- Friday, Nov. 14, Stanhope House, Stanhope, NJ, 8 and 10:30 p.m., $30 (Call venue for dinner options)
-- Saturday, Nov. 15, Godfrey Daniels, Bethlehem, PA, 7 and 9:30 p.m., $16.50 in advance, $18.50 at door
His work with Karp is his newest project.
Taylor is a guest guitarist on Karp's new CD, "The Turning Point," which will be released soon on Backbender Records. At the shows, Taylor and Karp will perform songs from The Turning Point and Karp's earlier CD, Roadshow, as well as a few old favorites.
