Topic: Streets Of Love Video Return to archive

glencar The video was played the other night on VH1 Classic. I just happened to catch the last 2 minutes of it. It's very brown colored & has a bit of a story about some guy getting assaulted. The song has grown on me but the video is pretty dull.

voodoopug the video is humiliating, but since no one hardly watches videos these days, thats fine, ABB is a very solid album and I still cannot take it out of my cd player, just puzzled as to why this song is pushed so hard when it is one of the weakest tracks on the album (not just in my eyes, but many)
October 12th, 2005 10:15 PM
the good I'm actually starting to like the song.

exile While i dont see whats wrong with Streets of Love as a song.

That does not mean I think it made a good single.
Im also puzzled as why they released this as a single. For "female fans that that bought forty Licks"? What about releasing a single for the fucking diehard fans that bought the last 20 albums

I am of the opinion that ONNYA (studio version) would have been a great single.

I still love ABB, and I really like Rough Justice.

The problem i have with it as it just seems too much like a leftover from Goddess. Each other song on the album has a relative in the stones catalog:

Rain Fall Down - Suck on the Jugular
ONNYA - Whip Comes Down
Rough Justice - Flip the Switch
This Place is Empty - You Got the Silver

etc

SOL does not fit IMO

glencar As I said, I like the song. It's grown on me. But the video stinks.
October 13th, 2005 12:55 PM
gimmekeef Oh I'm sure the Days of Our Lives thing will push the into heavy rotation!...yeaccccccccccccchhh

glencar I saw the ad. There have been songs that have become huge hits because of soaps but DOOL seems like a really stupid vehicle.

EXACTLY!!

we all have a difficult time understanding most of the Stones decision making these days

for most seniors, the mind begins to show signs of deteriorating years before the body does

Factory Girl Yes, I think premiering the brown SOL video on DOOL is a bad idea. Unless, they need more unemployed housewives in their fan base.

I only hope it's Michael Cohl

How many videos for this song are there? One for every copy that it sold?

There's this one, the one that got shown over here which is just a lip-synched 'performance' on a soundstage and then theres this "Days of our lives" shite?

And if the one on the soap opera is the same as the one you've mentioned as having already seen, how can that they advertise the "Days of our lives" thing as being a "world premiere"?

well, if theyre unemployed I doubt they'll be going near the shows!

Soldatti I doubt that the SOL video/single will get impact on U.S.
