Honky Tonk Man This is a video from 1968 of The Yardbirds performing Dazed and Confused on French TV. I had seen clips before, but never the whole thing. Great performance!

guitarman53 I loved the old Yardbirds, but Keith Relf is totally out of place singing this song, & except for Page, the rest of the band too, it's no wonder the band broke up & then Page formed Led Zeppelin.

Honky Tonk Man This performance really shows they were really in transition from The Yardbirds to Led Zeppelin. It’s all about Page with Relf and co tagging along. Keith Relf was reportedly far from happy with the direction they were going in and it shows in this clip. There was absolutely no way it could’ve continued.

Around the same time, the band recorded and then released a track called Think About It. (B-side to final single, Sweet Josephine) It was heavier to anything they’d recorded before and in fact has exactly the same solo as in Dazed and Confused.

Here a couple of excellent Yardbirds live tracks featuring Page from 1967…

Checked, replied and here is another great Yardbirds performance with Page. Better than Jeff Becks version!
