I got a call last night from montreal singer anik jean: Hey!
i'm opening for the stones in montreal!!! As i did a lot of
the guitar tracks on her album that just came out, i will be playing
with her january 10th at the bell center!!! By the way, i'm
a HUGE stones fan, having seen them almost 30 times since 78,
so you guys will understand i was not able to sleep last night
even with the help of more than a few drinks! Last time they
played montreal, les respectables, who are friends of mine got
to open for them. They got to meet the stones backstage and
when Keith entered the room he asked: " Are they mean or are
they friendly?" Classic Keith! I was at the shows in boston and
ottawa and they made me feel very proud to be a stones fan
in 2005. They are fuckin' amazing and it's so nice to hear the
guitars louder in the mix than on the past few tours. By the
way, i never post but i've been checking this board pretty
much everyday for years, keep up the good work!

Last time they played montreal, they rented the bell center
for practicing cause it was the first show after the holidays.
I hope they do the same cause last time i got to see them
practice for 2 days, thanks to my connection. It was simply
amazing to watch! The first day Mick wasn't there but on the
second day everybody was there. That was a real treat and i
took some pics that i posted on this site, under a different
username.
