I'm loving the change to the "Charlie Watts Message Board"!!
I've been bummed ever since I heard the news but coming here and seeing the great Charlie headers has been awesome. Lots of positivity around here too.
I dont know if you could do it but it would be so cool if everytime someone opened this site it played an audio file of the fans chanting "Charlie! Charlie! Charlie!..." like they do when he gets introduced during the show

Uhm, no thanx actually!!! I hate sounds thrusted on me on websites, especially the ones lacking a button to turn it off. The headers and name change are nice though, I'm with ya on that! |

when i saw these bastards in 2002, MR. WATTS got , by far, the biggest round of applause i have ever heard in my life. The love for this jazz loving, sharp dressing, gentleman is insane. I think its safe to say that the world loves MR. WATTS!

Long time ago we posted the intro riff of Rocks Off as an audio clip but it is nice the first time, then it is boring to open each thread and listen the same riff
ANyway is a very good idea, if I have time we can do it for the last day of the Charlie week

Nobody, and i mean nobody, pops the the snare like Mr. Watts. His drumming is the most unique in rock n roll history. You can recognize it in a split second. His little nuances are so delightfully distinguishable. |

the way he snaps the snare is just phenomenal. My favorite part of his style of drumming. Its so distinguishable - no one else can make a snare snap, crack and ring like Charlie does!

It's my new Saturday night ritual...Catch a good buzz (from various delights) and watch ALL my Stones videos/DVD's.
Tonight it the SARS DVD..I know..most of you think it was a joke...It's very strange to be at a show where you can't hear the crowd in front of the stage.....It's the last time they played in North America and I'm glad I was there. .
Anyway...my conclusion..I love this fucking band with every fiber of my soul. Fuck the criticism. No One delivers like the Stones. That's why we are here. Charlie Watts amazes me NOW more than ever in the 30 plus years I have loved this band. He's the engine....and what an engine.
Charlie rocks!!
