(It's Dire Straits, of course. You moron.)
Cool or boring? I like Making Movies and the debut album. Some friend of mine (a Stones fan, and a blues follower in general) claims that Mark Knopfler has played the "greatest guitar solo" ever. (Apparently, though, the man's own stuff, outside the band, is atrocious.)
I used to be cool, now I'm boring. I'm not even thinking about downloading any more porn. Maybe I played (solo) with myself too fucking much.

I like some of their stuff. Brother In Arms is a classic 80's album. |

Thanks. Strangely, and out of the blue, now I'm getting interested in Industrial music. (I was reading about some of that stuff -- Coil and other acts. I blame it again on the "sober factor".) |

Mark Knopfler's one of the greatest rock musicians of the last 30 years - excellent guitarist!
Did any of y'all hear him on Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion last weekend??

I love the straits.
But they did start to lose it a bit as from brothers in arms;
It became too polished

Defiantly boring in my opinion, though I can't imagine there are too many people who dislike Sultans Of Swing. That’s an almost perfect song.

It is. They were also the first band I ever saw in concert.
Knopfler's a marvellous musician, even if personality-wise he could bore for England |
