they have a limit of 100,000 users. the numbers will go up and down several times a day as inactive accounts get deleted and new members register.

its basically a case of keep trying. You'll get in pretty soon

Vinyl kills Awesome! I got in. I have the files as flac now. Do I need to download something to play them?

Damn that Guinness looks good!!!

mac_daddy what os are you using...

if window$ - then use foobar2000 to play the files on your computer, or the flac frontend to change them to WAV, and then burn audio CDs to listen to with your home stereo or hi-fi

stewed & Keefed HELP
August 9th, 2005 07:49 PM
Vinyl kills Great! I downloaded the foobar2000 and was able to play the songs. I also downloaded the flac frontend. From there how do I go about converting them to WAV so I can burn to disc???

Thanks alot for all the help!!!!
August 9th, 2005 07:53 PM
beer The program i downloaded to convert FLAC to WAV works like this: You right click the FLAC file icon and it will give you a number of options, one of them is "convert to". click on that and it will give you the option to convert to WAV.

I dunno if thats how the frontend thing works, though..

August 9th, 2005 09:44 PM

I'd imagine you'd need a few months of inactivity before that happened

you only really need to convert shn files to wav files, before you can burn them..do that by downloading the mkw compression tool ( http://www.etree.org/mkw.html#download )

Once you have the flac frontend and foobar2000 downloaded, you should be able to transfer flac files (and the wav files you have converted from shn) straight to CDR using burnatonce (see www.burnatonce.com for the free download)

Vinyl kills okay I downloaded all the stuff so I'm pretty good for now. When using EZ should I keep the settings on automatic or use dsl/cable fast? I just started using COX high speed internet Down: 4 Mbps Up: 512 Kpbs

Should I change anything in the preferences?

also, click the "++" in my sig, and navigate to the FAQ page there - i have alot of that info written faq-style there, too...

they work for me...

anyway - you either need to play the file in a media player, like you would mp3 files, or you burn an audio cd and listen via your regular cd player...
August 10th, 2005 02:11 PM
Vinyl kills I'm able to play it on foobar. How can I get a burnt disc from there? I have the FLAC frontend, mkw audio compression toolkit, and Burn at once all downloaded.
