Most people here agree with you about EOMS, trust me. The wonderfully clever poster pdog once said about the cut "Casino Boogie" that it's just another amazing flavor of sound of the never ending musical-Gobstopper that is Exile. Or something like that.

You know I've always thought Exile was the STONES at their absolute peak. A masterpiece of such unparalleled dimensions that people are still trying to figure it out all these years later. It's still being discussed, dissected, savored by some. GREAT ALBUM.
However, that's just me. It's interesting to note when it comes to musical taste how people can see it so differently even with EOMS.
Here's how a respected STONES critic sees Exile:
(1) Sticky Fingers
(2) Let It Bleed
(3) Beggar's Banquet
(4) Some Girls
(5) A Bigger Bang
(6) Goat's Head Soup
(7) England's Newest Hitmakers
(8) Between the Buttons
(9) It's Only Rock and Roll
(10) Exile on Main St
(11) Aftermath
As you can see, Exile occupies the 10th position and Tattoo You is nowhere to be found.
As the saying goes, to each their own. |

Agreed, it's the Stones at their BEST. Their latest album ABB is very much like it. Exhile on Main Street, I beginning to think is the best, greatest Rock n Roll Album of all times or at least my times I never get tired of hearing it. Well put together agreat difference of songs and sounds. It' always been new, fresh and dare I say CLEVER . |
