But yeah, I agree that Mick showed lots of backbone! As for integrity... At the time, he was a user of cocaine and LSD as well as pot, even if he took cares normally not to be caught in such a silly fashion. Finding himself confronted to a crooked cop when he was comparatively innocent must have been jarring! So it's funny to note that both Jagger and the prosecutor were right in a sense: the police who busted him were corrupt, and Jagger was indeed deeper involved with drugs that he let on publicly... 
The disgusting part is the disparaging comments on the part of the police and justice and the prejudice they showed: "dregs of society" vs "public figures", "history of mental illness", a thief "despite of coming from an excellent home"...  |
