What`s that noise that goes from the 5th second till Mick starts singing? Seems to be something done in the guitar, with the pick. The first time I heard that, about 4 years ago, I thought it sounded like a scratch, a hip hop thing. I`m almost sure it`s something to do with the pick, but somebody really knows what is?

Sounds to me like its a stray guitar note through a delay pedal but I don't think they had those in those days did they? |

scrathed - that may well be the Leslie speaker effect (which sounds like a form of delay) so that maybe it
the same effect used on "coming down again" and "though the lonely nights" i expect |

It maybe a Leslie, they were using them on Exile - Let It Loose for example. |
