I'm no fan of that new tongue, but I'm really knocked out by the two new band images. This dark, creepy, and funny BIG BANG one is fantastic. It's like they sat down with a good art director and thought out their image. Charlie holding that candle, Mick acting up, Keef in the back just looking over all the chaos and fun.
The other one, the band all smiles - tell me that isn't the best image of the band in years. The hair color is perfect, they look great, well rested and ready to take to the stage at a moment's notice.
Rock and roll imagery doesn't get better than this these days! |

It's the best we've seen them in a long time.
They sound great, look great and will be great!
Hold up! Jb's posts almost made me balk!
They're The Worlds Greatest Rock & Roll Band!

PDog, Philly is gonna be a great pair of shows. I think this will be a dangerous Stones album, an album of risks, an album of self imposed challenges, and an album that we all want so much to hear.

i'm enjoying trying to figure out who the shadowy image on the "harry potter meets the stones" cover might be. and i love the second shot of just the band. that is a terrific picture.
it's fun to see all this comin' together. damn the naysayers...full steam ahead!!! |

I'm digging the upside down "reflections" in the shot - Keef with his axe... |

Part of me is wishing I was doing both Philly shows, BUT MSG awaits. So I can live with one Philly show. Shit, I get them twice in SF... If I could've done two stadium gigs spaced apart, I would've. I only want to go to one of the SF shows, sort of, I'm sure I'll live with it. In my dream scenario I would've prefered Chicago in September and closed out my 2005 with one SF show.
I can't always get what I want, but I sure as shit get what I need. |

i like the images too, but I do wish the rest of the boys would take a cue from their drummer and just let the hair go au naturel. nothin' wrong with showin' everyone you've been around. and i find myself looking at the coifs more closely to see how good the hairdresser was today... |

Kath, you must have nailed it! "Harry Potter meets the Stones"! The details sure make it look like magical endeavours! Glasses of mysterious red liquid, giant dices, old clock with mysterious face, big candles, weird light... |
