kath been discussed to death. allegedly he was "up for nomination" but "didn't make the cut" as they say....

he'd have accepted it, of course. been baffled by it, but honored.

but no. no knightship for charlie.

No. There are two honours lists published every year. The Queens Birthday Honours List which is in early June (from which Mick got his in 2002) and the New Year's Honours List which is made public on New year's Eve.

absolutely correct. I spoke to my source tonite and was told that this is purely a rumor. If Charlie were to be asked on NYE, he would not have known about it by now. With Keith's snub of the title, it is not expected that anymore Stones will be asked to accept the honor. I will not get to speak to my source for at least a week, but i hope that i have been helpful

stonedinaustralia that's knighthood actually - sorry to be pedantic but if one is to accept these sorts of thing one must get these types of things correct...otherwise polite society will go completely "orf the rails" and it will be the end of civilisation as we know it (old chap)...all standards of decency and propriety down the plug hole like so much dirty dishwater... and giving them out to jazz drummers who could only make a living playing rock and roll seems like a capital idea!!

now pass the port and cigars...there's a good fellow
