AGREED!
but with the Crowes on "hiatus" (or is "high ate us"?)...
I'm really digging hearing Rich doing his own thing!
IMO, he's the one guitarist that even comes close to Keef's sound. He's got that heavy riffing in open tunings down cold.
anyway... the next 2 weeks Rich Robinson will be playing 6 select gigs in NY, PHILLY and BOSTON
if you go there's a very good chance you may hear him cover a Stones classic like:
HAND OF FATE
MEMO FROM TURNER
SOUL SURVIVOR
or MOONLIGHT MILE.... and maybe some other surprises (he jammed out "Slave" in rehearsals the other night... but I'd doubt he'd do it live)
he's also been doing some cool CSNY, The Band, Neil Young, Dylan and other covers. Plus, his new stuff from his upcoming solo record is great classic rock sounding songs. Lots of Stones/Beatles/Floyd/Neil Young influenced stuff.
check it out... www.richrobinson.net
