According to last news and words from members of the tour, including the Stones, Jim Callahan, Alan Dunn and Cohl this are the following steps of the Rolling Stones:
September 2003: End of the Licks World Tour 2002-2003. The band is something tired (look at the 19 songs lists), and they need to rest
October / December 2003: Rest of the band
November / December 2003: Release of DVD / Live Album of the last tour
January / ? 2004: Recording of the new studio album, according to Jagger words in recent interviews.
Mid-Year 2004: New tour (including South America) |

Y'see, that's what I like to hear. A new studio album and a swing back around the States (I'm presuming). Is it just me, or does a new studio effort from the boys sound like the best damn thing in the world right about now? If its songs are as good as Don't Stop and Losing My Touch, I'll eagerly be awaiting it.
I'm sure I alienated half the crowd here with that last sentence. Feel free to substitute your own songs titles there... y'know, typical JJF stuff. |

I would be very happy with a new album and then a follow up tour. The Stones have never disappointed me and I have no reason to believe they will. |

2004............ That's a drag......
In fact, I'm bored..... I can't take it....I'm tired of wait wait wait and after all, reading that "Two thousand four......"
Of course I'm pretty excited regarding the new album news and the Live Album/DVD release, but man, try to imagine how I'm feeling right now.....I'm a anxious person, always has been.....
Hey "Angie" from Argentina, Agustina sweetie, what can we do now?
Take care everybody! Soldatti, thanks again pal! |

That makes no sense for me.From what are they tired ?They had a 2 months rest in april/may,spent a week in Munich with 3 concerts, made another 6 concerts in middle europe and had now 3 in spain.12 concerts in a month with no long flights.Maybe they are tired of their setlists ?
And recording the new album in january 2004 ? According to all interviews everything IS recorded. |
