Soldatti This week (and I don't know why) the album re-entered at #174 on the Billboard 200.
It's the first apearence on the US chart since January 10 when the album last apeared at #176. Forty Licks spend 48 wks on chart, including this re-entry.
Here the Soundscan numbers:

174. Rolling Stones - Forty Licks: 8,005 (2,290,547)

I'm sure it's on there because of Father's Day this past week. Lots of Stones purchased for all the fathers out there...

Yes, very good point! Father's Day also helped Eric Clapton's "Me and Mr. Johnson" surge 127% on Billboard's charts...See other post.

Alos, buying tunes for the summertime helped bring FORTY LICKS back into the charts.

jb Those sales figures , while respectable, are still amazingly low for their definitive greatest hits album which coincided with a massive tour and PR machine...I still will never understand why huge concert attendance has never carried over to their album sales....
