Topic: "No Expectations" Question Return to archive

BrianJonesForever I've only heard this song without the bit I'm going to inquire about, so it may be a bootleg or different version than the original, but I just downloaded it and there is laughing by two men(one sounds like Keith), and then someone says something like "I didn't do a good one, Stu" then Mick says something. Who is laughing? Who is speaking? When was this recorded? Is it different from the original?

Thanks!

Honky Tonk Man I haven't heard it in a while, but yes, It's different from the original.

It is indeed your beloved Brian who says "Sorry, I didn't do a good one" and can only presume that the laughing is from the other Stones.

BrianJonesForever Thanks. Yea, I love Brian's speaking voice, but I couldn't tell if it was him. But Keith's laugh has always been great. The man oozes cool.
