Just wondered that's all. As a 100% Liverpudlian myself (that's a person from Liverpool for all the great unwashed out there) the music of the Beatles gets passed down the generations like DNA but I seemed to have escaped that rule! I've gone to the Dark Side of the Force to use a Star Wars term (quite topical at the moment, can't think why) and pitched up in the Rolling Stones Camp! My tent is still firmly planted in Dartford and it intendes to stay there!
I got myself into the Stones after buying the Forty Licks album and have had to start from scratch buying albums! Got most of the 60s stuff to get yet then I'm done apart from the NEW ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm 21 years old and people can't get their heads around why the Stones are my favourite band! (musical charlatans!)
LONG LIVE THE STONES AND ROCK AND ROLL!
Keep on rolling and gather no moss!

Well...I'm from US...but my great grandparents were from Liverpool...so I guess I kind of qualify....and I defintely favor the Stones over the Beatles any day. |

Jagger Lips, i can sympathise! I'm 26 and have been listening to the stones for 2 years and rarely do I listen to anybody else. I'm always getting the 'You're too young to like the stones' jibes, I don't care.
My friends know how dedicated I am, every time I've seen them in the last week everyone says 'have you got your tickets yet Ben?' Sadly, not yet.
I went to see Ronnie at the theatre royal, it was awesome. I went to the Rocks off gathering, yeah I was the youngest there but I was made so welcome. Gazza's a gent.
I'm a Manc, so it's quite close to Liverpool, but put it this way, I'd rather get my Rocks Off with a girl than Hold Her Hand any day!! |

Yeah, would have to agree.
When I was about 12, I was into the Beatles in a big way. But then I heard Bridges to babylon and it completely turned me onto the stones.
Im only 21 now. But my mates still reckon Im a fogie for liking the Stones.
