moy CHARITABLE JAGGER

SIR MICK JAGGER

Charity bosses have blasted rocker SIR MICK JAGGER's mean reputation - revealing he made three large donations to a clinic for alcoholics.

The ROLLING STONE star was mistakenly sent a begging letter intended for other celebrities, despite the fact he had already donated money to London's Chaucer Clinic.

When the error was discovered, Chauncer Clinic director NICK CHARLES called Jagger to apologise and asked him to tear up the letter.

But two days later he received a cheque in the post for twice the amount Jagger had previously donated, with a note attached reading, "This is for your honesty."

Charles gushes, "Sir Mick somehow has a reputation quite falsely for being uncharitable. But his actions nail the injustice of the claim."
