love and best thoughts for jagger, voodoo's pug. just read on sdb that he has a bad hip (only 4 years old) and will have to have surgery!
keep us posted, please! and remember that this kind of shit happens when breeders breed dogs for profit, the puppies are often sickly and hip dysplasia is very common among highly bred doggies....
we love you! |

josh told me the thread was deleted as many began to wish death to my beloved dog. Kath, you are a well known animal lover, and I know your sentiments are true. Thank You.
THe Anti-Inflamatory pills and the Glucosamine seems to have helped him considerably as he is not in constant pain, but has lost his ability to run/jump, etc. I am meeting with the top bone reconstruction specialists, with my pug, at 1:15 today. I am driving him to Wisconsin for this consultation. Options will then be laid out to me. His regular vet recommends a surgical procedure which will cut off 1/4 inch of his leg bone and reshape the remaining bone back to a round finish as well as reshape the hip socket. There is a good chance for a full recovery with extensive rehab. If this is the route taken, instead of full hip replacement, then I will be driving him 100 miles every other day for 2 months to a small dog rehab center where he will walk in a wave pool to prevent entropy.
When Molly seen Jagger wincing in pain yesterday, she immediately began vomitting and eating the grass in the yard. The only other time she did this was when we moved into the new house. THe vet told me that this is a sign that she is concerned.
I also want to publically thank jb. As those of you who know me aside from the board, know how much I care for my pets, his constant phone calls and reassuring positivity helped tremendously. When the Hurricane ravaged Boca Raton last year, I had arranged to purchase a ticket to have Monster flown to my house where I would care for him until utilities were restored in Boca. No matter how hard I pressed, josh told me he needed to keep Monster with him. Josh has offered to cover the cost of any corrective surgery, even knowing that I am more than capable of financing any procedure which will enhance my dogs quality of life. He tells me that this is his civic duty as no one else offered to care for his beloved Monster (probably due to his one undecended testicle).
If you feel the need to post something ridiculous or negative, please don't as I will simply have the thread removed. Beleive it or not, there are at least a few people that care about others here and can seperate reality from our board schtick.
THis is genuine: Thank you for the several PM's and emails (Erik, Joey, Voodoo, Stonesdoug, oldkr (TLKROTW), JB, and many more).
Thank You again! |

Best wishes to Jagger, hope it all goes well for you. I recently lost my Collie of 14 years so I know what its like to get attached to a pet. Though I have some Shelties now, and their quite a handful. |

For those of you who care or a genuinely interested, I received the following prognosis from the bone reconstruction specialist. (For those who dont care, please do not read, For those who want to post negatively, go fuck yourself and utilize one of the many other threads to gratify yourself).
I met with the Doctor for about an hour. He explained to me a procedure which will cut Jagger on his upper leg/hip and proceed to slice off about 1/4 inches of his leg bone. This will be followed by a sanding/smoothing of the bone and hip socket. No additional parts will be added to him. The predict a very good recovery and he should be better than ever. He will have to go through 6 weeks of rehab. I will drive him 100miles round trip three times a week to spend time in the "Small Dog wave pool/spa" so that he will avoid entropy and any pain associated with it. This will also allow the doctors to be hands on with him and make sure that he is not compensating, thus causing further damage.
He goes under the knife on Tuesday. I will be staying at the Hilton Plaza Hotel across the street from the facility and taking him home on Wednesday. Our principal concern at this time is his reaction to the anesthesia. The doctor suggests he should react well given his age and cardiovascular conditioning (he runs 5-8 miles per day).
I do beleive that his prognosis of a full recovery has some to do with the positive wishes and kindness of my friends on the boards and in "the real world" (I especially want to thank jb as his numerous phone calls and offers of financial assitance, were above and beyond. He knows I am capable of paying for this, as it will run between 3-5K, but he never forgot when I wanted to take care of Monster post Hurricane last year).
Have a great weekend everyone! |

I hope Jagger make a full recovery. I myself have spent big sums of money at the vet to keep my pets healthy. They are part of your family and I know how much the loss of a pet hurts. Keep giving Jagger the Glucosamine, my mother has been giving this to her dog for about a year now and it has helped her tremendously, there were time her dog wouldn't want to walk and she hasn't had that issue for a while now. I have also read that alfalfa and omega 3 might help with arthritis in dogs. I know this is not what your dog has but since it is having problems with it's bones maybe it can help. Good Luck! |

What he is feeling is very much like arthritis actually. I will be giving him the glucosamine and his rymadil until his surgery on Tuesday. Thank you very much for your concern. |

Good luck!! and remember....
When your lost
I am found
When you slip
I hold my ground
When I fall
Please take a bow
And when you’re up
Just remember I am down
People looking for
Fortune and fame
They don’t know
That it’s all the same
It’s like any other game
You know there’s a loser
But it’s alright
When you feel your heart is breaking
When all your friends are faking
When it’s giving and no taking
I will be by your side
I’ve been over the hill and back
Survived every kind of attack
It’s been a few years at that
As a matter of fact
Good luck is just good luck
You don’t go hungry if you got pot luck
I’ve been down
But never on my knees
I see the forest for the trees |

Pug, it sounds like things are on the upswing for your dog, I hope all goes well and Jagger makes a full recovery. I'm sure things will only get better from here due to the young age. I know how hard it is to see a pet you care about going through a tough time.
Long live Jagger the Pug!! |

Has anybody here seen my old friend Joshy?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
He freed a lot of people,
But it seems the good they die young.
You know, I just looked around and he's gone.
Anybody here seen my old friend John?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
He freed a lot of people,
But it seems the good they die young.
I just looked around and he's gone.
Anybody here seen my old friend Martin?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
He freed a lot of people,
But it seems the good they die young.
I just looked 'round and he's gone.
Didn't you love the things that they stood for?
Didn't they try to find some good for you and me?
And we'll be free
Some day soon, and it's a-gonna be one day ...
Anybody here seen my old friend Bobby?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
I thought I saw him walk up over the hill,
With Joshy, Martin and John.

I had that same discussion with my wife today. I am assuming he will have to wear one, albiet briefly as his mouth will not be able to reach the point of surgical entry to chew on the wound/stiches....but we shall know more on Tuesday.

Thanks, but I am not a model. Far from it. I'm a make-up artist, I have put on make-up for models before. No one big time yet. |
