Jeez. I notice the Cream tickets are quite pricey as well. |

Krystal tickets are ticket brokers. They were offering tickets for the upcoming Springsteen Royal Albert Hall shows for £400-500 (the tickets arent even on sale yet and the public price are about £50)
Their prices are therefore highly inflated and will bear no relation to the actual prices of tickets put on sale on ticketmaster
The Stones' havent even confirmed whether they're playing Wembley yet, yet alone the dates and prices, so thats obviously just an attempt to fleece people in advance
I would seriously doubt that the Stones will confirm when their European dates will be prior to the World Cup draw which wont take place until early December. They wont want concerts to clash with matches involving the country that they're playing in.
And yes, the Stones wont be playing back to back shows anymore. |

I think they just pay people to arrive early and stand in line at various outlets, and buy as many tix as one person is allowed (12?). |

The ticket agency, the promoter and/or the band. In the Stones' case, I refuse to believe the band doesnt get a cut off these arrangements, otherwise they'd do something to prevent it
Same applies to the band-approved companies who offer the flight, hotel & ticket package deals, such as Event Travel etc.
There isnt any need for the brokers to do what they touts/scalpers do and stand in queues to get the best tickets (that doesnt guarantee the best seats anyway). They have a certain amount of tickets pre-allocated to them before they go on public sale.
for smaller shows with very hard to get tickets, the proportion of tickets that never go on public sale is even higher. You can expect that to be the case if the Stones play theatre shows on this tour

People seem to want to blame ticketmaster because they dont end up with good seats but the brokers do. If TIcketmaster, as an organization and as a matter of comany policy, gave tickets to brokers, we wouldnt be getting wristbands in line or typing the word in the box. |

they do a bit of both, Dan. They could theoretically sell ALL tickets for some events via brokers, but know that the publicity would be appalling. It's without doubt a policy, possibly in conjunction with the promoter, to sell many of the best seats for maximum profit.
If there wasnt such an arrangement, these companies simply wouldnt get such a high proportion of the tickets. TM obviously are aware of this and simply arent interested in preventing it.
I know for a fact that between them Ticketmaster Ireland and the promoters sold a substantial proportion of tickets to brokers for the upcoming Springsteen show in Dublin and I would imagine the same applies to his UK shows too. They unquestionably IMO do it as a matter of policy in the US as well.
The fact that on the Licks tour such a high proportion of tickets in the first few rows were reserved for fans who had paid way over the odds for premium travel packages such as those arranged through the official fan club proves that its now a matter of policy between Cohl, Clear Channel and TM that a certain amount of the best seats are pre-allocated for the purpose of maximum profit
