moy Mick Jagger upset about not reading Wood’s memoirs before release
March 19th, 2008 - 5:09 pm ICT by admin

Washington , Mar 19 (ANI): Mick Jagger is none to pleased with bandmate Ronnie Wood, for the drummer didnt sent the Rolling Stones frontman a manuscript of his autobiography before it was out.

The book titled, Ronnie has records of Wood’s wild life and has many interesting anecdotes with his Rolling Stones colleagues.

However, Wood didnt offer to let any of his bandmates read the book until after it was released, upsetting Jagger, who would have otherwise loved to have a chance to scan through the tome before it hit book stores in October last year (07).

“I haven’t read it, though he very kindly gave it to me, inscribed, for Christmas (07). In fact, someone else did, too, so I’ve got two copies now. be truthful, I did not receive any advance manuscripts from Ronnie. I think it’s always polite to do that though, Contactmusic quoted Jagger, as saying.

In fact, another Stones star Keith Richards has already jibed at Wood’s work, claiming that only 50 per cent of the anecdotes are correct. (ANI)

Its comforting to know that I got an inscribed copy just the same as what Mick Jagger got.

And he has two copies. It must also be pretty surreal to get as a Christmas present a book where a sizeable chunk of it contains an eye witness account by the author of your personal and professional life. It probably wasnt autographed either!

somebody The rudeness. .. but if I recall there is very little mention of Mick at all in the book.

I loved it, but then again he was so drunk & stoned most of his life, he's got dates all mixed up, I don't know why Mick would get up-set, he really didn't say a bad word about him???? the part about the book is being in a bathroom for 2 days, freebasing with Bobby Keys, & Keith comes in & takes a shit, & they don't even notice him being there? now that stands out.
