crashbandicoot001 ...by a stroke of good fortune, I received these 2 mp3 files by email from a guy I've just recently made contact with - he's also from Melbourne and must have taped the show...

RUBY TUESDAY & BROWN SUGAR from last night's show at Rod Laver Arena are available for download from here:-

http://www.joinme.net/jillsplace/crashfiles/rodlaverarena/

...right-click on each file name and save to your hard drive - if you try to play them at the site, they may not work...

...now, they're encoded at a lower bitrate (64 kbps) - they must have been reduced in size to send by email - but they still sound pretty good...

...hope you enjoy them......

TheSavageYoungXyzzy Our boy Chuck, he sure ain't no Nicky Hopkins, or Jack Nitzche, or whoever it was that was playing on that track originally. Still, it sounds very good, especially the electric, and Keith's backing vocals!

The flute's a synth, played by that other keyboard guy who usually plays the trumpet.

Per Bill Wyman and other sources, it's actually Brian Jones! Definitely one of his high points - piano, recorder, vocals, AND co-writing the bloody thing!

beer did they play RUBY TUESDAY for Brians birthday? Was it on the day of Brians B-day or right before, or near it? Brian and Keith wrote the song, right? Mick has even admitted that.

fmk438j ooohhh cool! Wouldn't that be cool if they did do it for Brian. It was on the 27th.

Great work beer.
