........or " No Country for Old Men " ?!

Who will take home the ' Best Picture Oscar ' ?!

Discuss ...........................

They ( ...you all know who ' they ' are ) say that the movie that wins the Oscar for Best Picture reflects the social mood of the country . If that is the case , then the mood of the United States is VERY dark and somber indeed ....................

" How about another tour Ronnie ?! "

Joey Day Lewis ! ™

Bloozehound It's probably going to be There Will Be Blood, haven't seen it yet, but it seems more best picture worthy

No Country was excellent on so many levels though, super intense cat and mouse chase film and that bad guy Javier Bardem has got to get an award for something, his character was one of the greatest movie villains I'd seen in years

Lord (Hetero) Javier was incredible; only drawback with him winning is that Corey Affleck doesn't get anything. He was great too. But IMO the standout last year was Marion Cotillard as Edith Piaf. Long time since such a tour de force.

You mean Casey Affleck.

You must have Corey Haim and/or Corey Feldman on the brain today. Who the hell doesn't?

i was rooting for julie christie, but the french girl was good....
and i was also rooting for tommy lee jones to beat day-lewis..
jones gave a much more subtle performance - but just as powerful.

they omitted brad renfro from the death sequence -
i guess junkies are unworthy......that's fucked up.

i've always hated that segment and felt they should do away with it.
the way the audience applause meter rises for some and peters out for others...

its classless.... and the renfro ommission smacks of elitism.
