Stones' Mick Jagger visits Brazilian son at school
Mon Feb 20, 2006
SAO PAULO, Brazil (Reuters) - The leader of the Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger, visited his Brazilian son at school on Monday in Sao Paulo, eyewitnesses said, two days after his band performed a free concert for more than a million fans on Copacabana beach.
The mother of Jagger's six-year-old child, Lucas, is Luciana Gimenez, a Brazilian model turned TV host.
Lucas attends St. Paul's, a exclusive British school in one of Sao Paulo's richest neighbourhoods.
The rock star's visit caused a commotion of fans and photographers that frightened the child, seen crying while leaving the school with his mother in a Volvo. Jagger, who was wearing Bermuda shorts and sunglasses, left in a Jaguar.

1. That's not a good father, it should belong to the basic package of being a father.
2. He doesn't have to go there to see how he's doing and frighten the kids-buch by reporters, noise, flashes and bermuda shorts. Low-key would've been better for the kid imo.
But yeah, the gesture is nice of him nonetheless. The bermuda shorts are dubious, however . |

Agreed. I bet he's never even changed one of Lucas's diapers. |

I love Mick, but he was a lousy ass father when he first became one.
He was great to the others though.
Glad to read he is involved in Lucas' life. |

Have you seen the 'Being Mick' DVD?
Not sure if that was the parent's day, but Mick was seen with his father in his daughter's school on some kind of sports event involving their parents. |

Yeah, I do remember that. Didn't Mick complain to the teacher? About a bad call or something? |

I am certainly not tempted to check out that visual again right now, but he does say something like "I refused to take part in the 'lemon-and-spoon race'" (or something like that)
Far more interesting is the Senior Jagger saying about his son, "he used to run ever so fast across the track" (or something like that) - something Junior still does on stage !! |

I don't think he went around announcing that he was going to the school, I think the paparazzi just followed him there.
Anyways, Lucas will always remember that his father visited his school. His father, a famous man, took the time from his busy schedule to visit his school! It's the little things that matter. And, that was very sweet of him, shows you what a nice person he really is. |

I think Mick, and all the Stones aside from Brian, were/are great parents. I always see pics of them hugging their children, watching them at modeling events, art shows, jewelry shows, etc...
I also thought Mick seemed like a very hands-on father on the "Being Mick" DVD. |

I never knew Mick had so many kids until a few months ago when that "Papa was a Rolling Stone" thread came up. Its amazing how one of Brian's sons look like a replica of him. |

That "sports day" for his daughter is the funniest (or the only funny) thing about Being Mick.
Especially when he says something like, He participated in the hoola hoop race and 'doesn't know' how it went (while he&daughter are being shown on video coming second-last or something, HA), and then when that girl practically kills herself on the high jump and he goes to the parents to act all smart and coachlike. The funniest thing about the documentary, hands down.
