mac_daddy it's beautiful outside, so I am about to bail, and take the dog out for the afternoon...

but if you are stuck inside on a dreary, winter's day, here is some stuff to while away your day...

mickmask 491.3!... and it's giving me ideas about the kids arguing in the next room...just kidding! I think this winter thing is getting to me.. last night I took my kid out late to build an island snowman... or should I say snowchick. We put a grass skirt and bikini top on her and flowers in her hair.... I know...I know. I think I'll go swimming this week.
02-08-04 12:59 AM

stonedinaustralia winter...forgeddaboutit

43 degrees centigrade here today and more of the same to come - the spectre of bushfire fills the air
02-13-04 09:09 PM
mac_daddy that is why the Stones would always tour there around this time of year, as well...

throw on one of those 73 tapes, and imagine what it was like in February, 31 yrs ago. I don't think the band has ever rocked harder...
02-13-04 09:15 PM
stonedinaustralia yes MacD, there's nothing like a hot australian night to make you want get down and rip that joint

i spent 30 years with an aching regret in my heart that i didn't see the adelaide '73 show despite being less than a mile away...i didn't even join in at the "riot show" when those outside the venue tried to crash it - 'tho a couple of guys i swent to school with were there

anyway, thankfully, that deep empty feeling was banished forevermore after the enmore in '03... i can now live (and die) with a happy heart
02-13-04 09:27 PM
mac_daddy the enmore show is very good.

do remember a while back when that cat who lent the guitar to Keith told his story here on the board..? that was an awesome read! I have a Austrailian 73 boot where Mick mentions the fact they had to borrow a guitar, and he says thank you. great stuff...

now, speaking of ripping that joint...
02-13-04 10:58 PM
mac_daddy more penguins (let the whale fling them in the air, and then you time your snowballes to hit them on the way down)...

my high score: 512.1

Did you manage to get out? This is disturbing. Why can't I go and look under the bed? There are always "strange things" - as they put it - under a bed. And what's with that stupid ring? Is there a hobbit behind the door or what?
02-14-04 10:16 AM
caro Is there a shortcut key in Explorer to grab a CD player and throw it against a door?

actually MacD i think that was ap ost of mine where I transcribed a section of a book on Radio Birdman - wherein the leader of that band (deniz tek - who had posted here to advise that he had super8 film of the entire Australian '73 tour and was looking for away to get it to the stones) tells how he followed the tour around australia culminating in him meeting keith and selling him an old National acoustiv guitar
