Honestly, the acoustic shows for the Crowes sound pretty cool. I actually do like those guys, but I personally much prefer their first 2 albums.
I've probably seen the Crowes 5 times, and I was in the front row at the Orpheum for their last show before their hiatus, and I thought they kicked ass - they closed with CYHMK. I also really dug the By Your Side tour. But this reunion tour I honestly didn't dig. I can see why die hard Crowes fans would like it, but I am more of a casual fan (even though I have most of the albums (I think I am only missing Amorica)), and I am not huge on 15 minute jams (CYHMK and Midnight Rambler excluded). But it is really just personal preference.
Based upon some of your other posts, I know you are also a Ryan fan. I hope he comes back around states-side. I have seem him a bunch of times, and I think he is about the best there is out there in terms of new music.
