Odd, but i didnt think Brian was on the 1969 tour.
And read this! 39 years later, and people are still whining about the same thing!!! hahahaha.

It was interesting, besides the Brian Photo, there's also John Lennon at The Rock 'N' Roll Circus that had nothing to do with the '69 Tour, but I think it was the pictures that this fine photographer took at that time. |

If you open the Rolling Stone Magazine article about the '69 tour, you'll notice that the headline is about the high price of tickets. Prices ranged from $5.50 to $8.50. Given a 1969 minimum wage of about $1.70 (based on Washington State figures), the high end tix were five times the minimum hourly wage. Adjusting to a 2007 rate of approximately $8.00 an hour, a consistent ratio would produce high-end tix at $40.00. Even if you double that (the article complains that the Stones' sets were just an hour long, compared to two hours plus on recent tours), it's still just $80.00 for the best seats. |
