Yesterday(1/24/06), Martyr's in Chicago was planning to have Darryl Jones and other auxiliary Stones play jazz versions of Stones songs in 2 separate shows. The advertising hinted that there might be surprise guests. Did anyone attend, and did any other Stones personnel show up? |

I dont know about what happened in the 2nd City, but they did this here in NYC at Blue Smoke. Stones horn player Tim Ries was the headliner. Bernard Fowler sat in and sang vocals on an excellent version of Ruby Tuesday and a funked up Honkeytonk Women.
I'm sure Voodoo Pug can fill you in on all the Stones happenings in Chicago. He's consistently dialed in. :cough: :cough: |

I knew that Ries was the headliner, and the advertising Martyr's did indicated that Fowler and Goldings were part of the band Ries was using.
I mentioned only Darryl Jones in my original post because I feel that he is "higher up" the Stones chain of command than Ries or Fowler. |
