When it comes to girlfriends, age is usually no barrier to Mick Jagger.

The 59-year-old rocker is nearly as famous for dating young models as he is for his Rolling Stones hits.

So telling his 18-year-old daughter that her latest boyfriend is too old for her might seem a tad hypocritical

Jagger was said to have 'gone ballistic' when he discovered Elizabeth, a model, was seeing a man of 44.

She and Canadian-born actor Michael Wincott have been dating since meeting in New York before Christmas, it was reported yesterday.

Now Jagger has told ex-wife Jerry Hall - Elizabeth's mother - to stop the relationship.

A friend of Jerry's said: 'Mick says this guy is far too old for his Lizzie. He's terrified this man will lead her astray.'

But Wincott said: 'That's the funniest thing I've ever heard.'

He said their friendship was social, not romantic, adding: 'I've seen her around at concerts and parties and elsewhere.'

The actor, with his dark hair and moody features, bares an uncanny resemblance to Jagger senior.

Both have been dubbed 'modelisers', a term used in the TV series Sex And The City to describe wealthy men who only date supermodels.

Michael Wincott was at the Stones rehearsals one night in the summer...I got my photo taken with him!
He is cute.......but the story may be just gossip.
