Kilroy Dude you rock, Thank you.
January 15th, 2006 02:44 PM
Gazza No, I don't - but I certainly roll.

Much more fun!

Kilroy Dude you roll, that's funny. I get it. How about the variety of songs this tour compaired to the last or others.

Gazza http://rocksoff.org/songsybyy.htm

one or two minor corrections in a few of the individual years required but it should give you a basic idea

henrik Mulder's site is also useful

er..thanks...but isnt that basically the same as what I posted earlier?

(although Ian on TIOOS counts the Juilliard show as a 'tour' show for the purposes of 'tour debuts'..)

taz22 You did post something similar yes.......but there are two differences to from the link I posted:

1) In your post you left out the press conference that started the tour off;

2) The link that I posted is updated after every concert. I figured this would save you ( and others ) the trouble...but by all means use your manual system if that is what you prefer!
January 15th, 2006 09:08 PM
Gazza well, for what its worth I left it out because it wasnt a tour show, nor was it a concert, but anyway...

thanks for the link which will indeed be handy if he's updating it after each show

speedfreakjive I think "Rip This Joint" would be the most advisable next tour debut; in terms of popularity, and I think it would be great after Miss You, or better, on the B-Stage. It could even fit nicely in # 2.

Its not been played a lot recently, only 6 times on Licks. Strangely, Gazza, the last time was for The Olympia show on 4 Flicks, where it was left off the DVD.

Madafaka Please, keep on counting!
We have to make the new version of "Licked all over"

taz22 In 5 short days ( 3 concerts ) they have debuted 6 songs on tour ( 1 for the first time ever ).....took them over a month to due so during the fall portion of the tour...this bodes well for the remaining concerts. As noted, You Got The Silver and It's All Over Now have been done at souncheck over the past few days. MSG should produce another few debut songs I would think.

Saint Sway I found these Black Crowes stats from their '05 tour. This was last updated as of October 3rd, so its grown a lot since then. I know that theres a division of opinions about the Crowes here but you his is just damn impressive.

THE BLACK CROWES 2005 SONG STATS (as of 10/3/05)
117 songs. 65 originals. 52 covers. 17 different openers.

Gazza I think Springsteen played 140 different songs on his recently completed tour - despite hardly playing anything off his two best known albums (Born to Run and Born In The USA) during the entire tour. I suppose when youre playing a solo show, you have more room to do that but on the last tour he did with a band, the total was much the same (and most of the shows on that tour were in stadiums)

Dylan played 50 different songs over the 5 nights in his London run in November, quite a feat considering Bob's shows are usually about 16-17 songs in length.

The Stones playing 50 up to now isnt bad and its certainly improving what with 6 tour debuts in 3 nights so far in 2006, but the figure is a bit misleading as many of those 50 songs have been played very infrequently. About two thirds of the set in the 2005 leg of the tour were performed either every night or almost every night. Pretty much what mystery there is in the first half of the show
January 16th, 2006 07:20 PM
Kilroy OTHER THAN THEIR NEW ALBUM, WHICH ALBUM IS GETTING THE MOST PLAY ON THIS TOUR? IS IT EXILE ON MAIN ST? MY FAVORITE.
January 16th, 2006 07:34 PM
Gazza its 40 Licks, hence the "hits" selection..lol

Good question - by my calculations :

I make it 5 apiece from Sticky Fingers & Exile
4 apiece from Let It Bleed and Some Girls

theyve played 7 from A Bigger Bang so far.

Saint Sway just one tune from Beggars Banquet
