I went on a website, and now everytime I open my internet browser theres a bar with all this shit (mp3 search, etc....) and I cant get rid of it. Help! |

you have to go to add remove programs
look at all the programs listed and see if there is one in there you dont recognize but be care ful you dont want to delete something you need
I have had something similar a long time ago thats how i got rid of it |

either run a "ad remove" program,
or press control+alt+delete. now you get a list of all the programs that are running. shut them down one by one(not explorer of course) and see if it has any effect. now you know which program to remove and you do what exile says hereabove.
download ad remove program here (ad aware)

and use it anyway. you'll be amased by the amount of shit they install in you pc.
one thing; when you start your browser do you still get your chosen startpage?

yes, but they changed it. I had to make it go back to my original startpage. |

Depending on the version of your operating system, you could use 'system restore'.
Pick a date PRIOR to the event that screwed everything and instruct your fiendish machine to use the settings that were agreeable to you before you were hijacked! |
