Topic: what did santa give you (stones wise that is)? Return to archive
12-26-02 05:01 AM
egon good morning everyone!

it's 10.40 am here in france.
i'm sure that most of you in europe are still in bed and the rest is sitting around the xmas trees opening presents.

i, however, am at work, as france does not know the concept of a 2nd xmas day.

of course, nothing is happening as the rest of europe IS enjoying this 2nd day.

anyways, must stop feeling sorry for myself!

moving on;

i wish you all a very nice xmas and a happy, safe, peaceful, joyful, stones filled 2003.

and now, for the actual subject of this post;
so what did santa give you for xmas? stones related that is?

i got a book about the boys, with lots of photos i'd never seen before. the text itself is "more of the same" and offers not much new, but it's still very nice.

not the stones, but still music: i got a years subscription to rolling stone magazine.

not too bad at all!

cheers
egon

ps; anyone interested in a pair of donald duck socks?
(i'm sure santa had a bit to much glu-wine when he wrapped this present)

Sir Stonesalot I got the remastered 1st album. Man, that is some good stuff. I keep forgetting how wonderful that record is...even if the production was terrible, the boys themselves played well.

As much as i hate to say it....those ABKCO remasters are outta sight!

I may have already mentioned...I got an Epiphone Les Paul.
12-26-02 08:48 AM
TheSavageYoungXyzzy Hmmm...

For the remasters...

England's Newest Hitmakers
12x5
Out Of Our Heads (US)
The Rolling Stones, Now!
December's Children (And Everybody's)

And for the Solo Stones:

Slide On This (Special Package Thing)
Slide On Live
Live At The Hollywood Palladiu [sp]
I've Got My Own Album To Do

Plus, the Robert Johnson box set, a few Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters CDs, a bunch of Faces albums...

Oh, and a ticket to see them at the Fleet...

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.............

sasca CD's of 'Some Girls' and 'Steel Wheels' to replace my vinyl copies. (Also - a gorgeous illustrated copy of Gibbons 'Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire', a book on the surviving architecture of Ancient Greece [both second hand], the autobiography of F1 commentator Murray Walker, Harry Potter's guide to 'Fantastic Beasts', chocolates and a bottle of liqueur, and some money.)
12-26-02 12:59 PM
Sir Stonesalot >Harry Potter's guide to 'Fantastic Beasts'<

They wanted to put me in that book, but they wouldn't cough up enough cash to get my permission.

Angiegirl Hmmm, nothing really. Neither with Sinterklaas. But, my brother told me yesterday that I can buy his old computer for not too much money, it's a year old and he bought a new one. Mine is 5 years old, but I have no money to buy a new one. And I do webdesign so I really need a fast system. So, it's not a gift, but I am really happy that I finally will have a fast pc to work on and it made me jump on the beach (we were taking a walk on the beach when he told me) from happiness. He will bring it over next Monday. YIPPIE!!!

Santa didn't come to see Martha this year.....but I did get my Detroit boot today and am now reliving that show.....so it wasn't a total bust.
