Mel Belli Never noticed it before (and don't ask why I was watching the DVD again).

In the special features, Mick, Matt Clifford and Dave Stewart are seen sitting around singing an early version of "Old Habits Die Hard."

A virus that took three years to gestate...

and "Lets Make It Up" is just an alternate version of "Don't Call Me Up". He even alters his vocals on the same notes

at this point, a better name for the Alfie Soundtrack would of been "Best of Dog Shit In The Doorway"

It makes me worry for the new album that Mick is out of ideas.

Saint Sway I hear ya Mel! But I thought that "God Gave Me Everything" was a good rocker that would of worked out better if Mick had held it back and saved it for the Stones. So maybe* he's got some rockers in the can that hes holding onto for the new Stones album

* NOTE: by 'maybe' I really mean I sincerely hope, but highly doubt

Splendid job, Mel. WOW. I never noticed it before, but right after reading your post I put in the DVD again, and I found the part you spoke about. You are absolutely 100% right. So, the song is really that old :-)
