What kind of music room you have?Mine is a liitle bit too
small, music doesnt "fit" there. But i have a perfect acoustics.Walls are made of brick and covered of wood.Floor
is also wooden,so theres no extra echoes.Best way to find
out acoustics is,just snap your fingers/hands,and you must
hear the clap/snap only twice. If you dont hear it at all,
its too good.Room must breathe. Also,it must sound the same,
no matter how loud or quietly you listen.
So what kind of room you others have? |

My stereo is on the living room and the acoustic is very good.
Better yet, it's an old building (about 40 yrs ago) and then the walls are thick enough to stop I bother my neighbours. (I have an equipament Sony 550 Watts RMS and most of the time I use to listen my records really LOUD). Anyway, no complains, never.
On the other hand, is the living room, which means no privacy. My wife and boy are always around. I wish I could have a studio just for me and my sound stuff, but...

I don't have a "music room", just an office room with the computer, stereo and tv set plus all the cd's, dvd, video games ect... I consider it my media center, there's nothing special about the acoustics
I also have small portable stereo outside on the porch, that's where I relax alot and listen to tunes |

I don't have a music room, I have music all over my apartment.
My stereo is in my bedroom, but I have another little CD player in the kitchen, and I can play CDs in my DVD player which is in my living-room. Also, I have a record player in the living-room. And, I have a walk-man, that I listen to on my balcony.
But, my favorite place to listen to music is in my car!
I love to blast my music while I'm driving on the highway!

My problem is that the NEIGHBOURS breathe...
My living room's shit (for music). it's small and has a stone floor. So you get a bit of an echo. there's nothing 'warm' about that.
I do find that when you play your music really loud, it gets better.
But still, the neighbours.... they breathe. |

Yes to your PS, Egon
I said, "I" live in a Banana Republic, so could you cede me your banana?
But NankerPhelge, in your name, said NO - don't ask me why.
I'll check that URL, thank you.
