Mel Belli The haircut. The triple-chin. The super-paunch. Whoa!

gorda You are mean!

(Let's see your picture! )

Anyways, I think he still looks alright. (Maybe, he could stand to lose a few pounds, but, HEY! DON'T WE ALL? )

And for him, it's all about the music, he's a very talented musician.

glencar Wow. Poor Mick is aging badly.
December 17th, 2004 04:23 PM
jpenn11 Let's see, there is a review that says good, good, great, great, surprise, really well, and the response from the bleachers is paunch, haircut, chin.

I may be beginning to understand why he left when he was still a rail.

jb I love this man and would dump Woody any day for his magical chords.

I've always maintained that you are the most intelligent poster on this board, tele.

Starbuck the set list is interesting. i saw mick at a small skanky bar in minneapolis about 5 years ago- he was fantabulous- but the only stones tune he did was "you gotta move". to see him do other stones tunes from the glory days would be interesting. i figured he'd be the type to leave the stones tunes at the door.

does mick bear any animosity towards his former bandmates?

December 17th, 2004 06:37 PM
kath he looks rough...he certainly has lost that adorableness he had when he was a stone. but the man can play......
December 17th, 2004 07:02 PM
nankerphelge I was just listening to ol' Mick on the Happy B'Day Nicky boot from '73.

He eats Gimme Shelter up!
December 17th, 2004 08:42 PM
Soldatti I love Mick Taylor, but he can't do a 100+ dates tour with the Stones in that way, he needs to change too much.
December 17th, 2004 10:42 PM
telecaster I saw Mick about 8 or so years ago in Chicago

Right across from Wrigley Field at the Cubby Bear

He showed up late, cranky, didn't say a word to the audience, played very average, almost uninspired, walked off

Came back, played one encore. At this point there was
about 13 people left and instead of holding a lighter
in "Freebird!" fashion the other 12 people held up a book of matches

Great guitar player that added tons to the classic Stones periods.

Sucks solo

Hope he can pull it together someday

Maxlugar The scariest part of the picture is Mick Taylor playing a Stratocaster!

Sweet merciful fuck! My Mick Taylor always, ALWAYS!, plays a Gibson Les Paul Sunburst.

Tele I've heard about these rare solo shows where he shows up like he wished he were somewhere else. Hey it happens. Ronnie Wood shows up like he's so glad to be here but he forgot to plug in.

I've seen Mick Taylor where he tore the first three layers of my skin off and grabbed my balls and made me thank him for it.

Mick Taylor back in the Rolling Stones, NOW!

I prefer McDonald's dollar menu, you can get a double cheeseburger for a buck!
December 18th, 2004 05:54 PM
Jumping Jack I'll bet Mick has Michelin tires on his car.
December 20th, 2004 12:05 PM
jb Mick Taylor has more talent in his pinky than Ronnie ever had...the music speaks for itself...the greatest Stones era was unquestionably the "Taylor" era. Anyone who has listened to any Taylor era boot could hear the difference in what was once a hard rocking guitar driven band versus this so called "ancient form of weaving" bullshit, which is an excuse for not having a competent lead guitarist...Sadly, since MT's departure, neither he or the Stones have ever been as good....

Nellcote That's the JB I've been missing.
Loves the band for what reason?
Hey, go ahead and take the MNF game off
tonight, and take your pal Marino out for
dinner. It's Squish The Fish time for the Pats 2 nite!
You will not like the pain of seeing Cory Dillon Run Run Run!
He gets a $500,000 bonus once he reaches 42 yds tonight...

I sense an upset tonight...developing--------->
December 20th, 2004 12:44 PM
Nellcote The only upset developing is when you
"throw up in your mouth" as The Tuna Parcells
used to say, after tonight's thrashing by the
2003 Super Bowl Champions
I recall you back in June, gleefully opining how
it would be another sad year for Sox fans..
Now we have two champions in the same year, looking for three....Phins are toast....
Don't take those predictions out in the open for any action..

I predict the Heat shall beat Boston this tuesday. Did you see me on T.V. at the Nuggets game or the Magic game?
December 20th, 2004 12:49 PM
kath i predict josh won't read his PM......
December 20th, 2004 12:51 PM
Nellcote Are you the Jack Nicholson of the Heat fans?
Where do you sit, so I can find you on the Telly?
Celts are 4 out of 5, however, they always
have fits with Shaq.
Doc Rivers benched Pierce this year, I guess anything can happen..
