Soldatti "Forty Licks" & "Four Flicks" are selling very well this Christmas season. Both things almost sold 23,000 copies last week on the States.
Others albums are selling good this week as "Hot Rocks" and "Let It Bleed" with sales over 3,000 copies this week each.

Here are the charts positions for the week of Dec. 27:

The Billboard 200 - Forty Licks - #191
Billboard Comprehensive Music Videos - Four Flicks - #1
Hot 100 Singles Sales - Sympathy For The Devil - #47
Hot Dance Music / Club Play - Sympathy For The Devil - #43
Hot Dance Singles Sales - Sympathy For The Devil - #7

Sales for the week of Dec. 8 - Dec. 14 acording to Soundscan:

Forty Licks - 12,500 (2.243,000 total)
Four Flicks - 10,100 (137,000 total)
Sympathy For The Devil - 900 - (28,000 total)

PS: thanks to my friend Melissa for the sales info

glencar If you go to the Billboard website you can't see below the Top 50 Album/CD sales unless you buy a subscription. Frustrating. Thanks for the info, soldatti.

egon are these figures just for the US, or worldwide?
cos if it's worldwide, it seems a bit poor to me.

- what do you mean i sound like jb? -

marko Just USA.
12-19-03 09:35 AM
jb So 4 Flicks has only sold 137k compared to over 400k for LZ...and does the 2.3 million for 40 Licks reflect the X2 multiplier for being a double-disc?
12-19-03 09:36 AM
glencar That 137K is from only one store. Perhaps the decision to do that was a mistake.
12-19-03 09:39 AM
jb Very poor marketing startegy as it should have easily sold 250k units by now...
12-19-03 09:41 AM
glencar The sole benefit was that it kept prices down which was good for us. Did you buy several copies yet?
12-19-03 09:47 AM
jb I bought 3 copies...1 for me and 2 for gifts..
12-19-03 09:48 AM
glencar I too bought 3. One for me, one as a gift & then a third which was for a Euro friend but then it turned out that they can't play it over there so now I have a spare.
