LadyJane Always a great performance.

My favorite X-files episode...featured Mr Boyle.
"Clyde Bruckman's final repose". He played an insurance salesman who could forsee people's deaths.

RIP.

GotToRollMe Oh, man...too bad. Especially liked him in "Joe," and was just watching "Where The Buffalo Roam" last night. RIP.

nankerphelge Bummer -- one of my all time favorites.

lotsajizz I loved the Clyde Bruckman episode. He got his gift while contemplating the demise of Buddy, Ritchie, and the Big Bopper due to the way a coin flip ended up (the 'losers' had to take the tour bus as opposed to the flight). He was great in all his roles--I loved him in 'Joe'...

stoneslib I saw him 2 rows in front of me at the Wiltern 2002 show.

Martha Fuck.....what sad news...I watch ELR nightly and LOVE "Frank".

He will be missed.

RIP

He recently played Father Time in Santa Clause 3.

RIP.

SweetVirginia He was so funny in "Young Frankenstein" singing
"Putting on the Ritz".

13th December 2006 04:49 PM
patioaintdry I'm pretty sure he was a neighbor of Keith Richards in CT.

Brainbell Jangler Peter Boyle was one of the greats. My generation will always remember him best for "Joe." Given the number of reactionaries from the Reagan era on this board, it's probably important to point out that Joe wasn't the "good guy" in that movie.

JuanTCB When I was lurking around Roseland in '02 trying to figure out a way to get in (and failing), Peter Boyle walked by me and straight into the club.

The dude had one of the larger noggins I've ever seen on a human being.

R.I.P.

I'm sure some would even think Joe was some kind of hero....that's how whacked out they are....

MikeyC613 I loved him as the Wizard in Taxi Driver. Trying to offer psycho Travis Bickle advice was hilarious. "I mean, what do I know, I'm just a cabbie. I don't even know what the fuck you're talking about!"

Kilroy Another of the greats, goes.
