Sir Stonesalot I like The Hellacopters. They prove that Europeans can play hard rock properly. Some albums are better than others, as they sometimes slip into bad 70's rock mode...but every album has had more than a few golden nuggets on 'em.

Sir Stonesalot Radio Birdman are legend in Oz. They broke up decades ago...but through some strange miracle of the Rock gods...they have reformed and released "Zeno Beach". It's a great album, which doesn't always happen with these long lost reunion deals.

This is Birdman in their glorious heyday of the late 70's...Deniz Tek has posted here on RO, and he's a really cool dude. He has a great story about selling Keef a Gibson...

Sir Stonesalot Actually, Radio Birdman is more like the Stooges than The Ramones. IMO.

Deniz Tek plays an Epiphone that hw won in a poker game from Fred "Sonic" Smith of MC5 and Mr. Patti Smith fame. He let me strap it on while they were setting up for their Philly show last year. It was in the basement of the First Unitarian Church. While they were having sevices upstairs. Odd setting for a punk rock show.

Anyhow, here's a couple of pics I took at that show...

Deniz Tek and Fred "Sonic" Smith's Epiphone...

Close up look at Deniz's Epi...

Rob Younger shreddin' some vocal chords...

Concede....I think you're right. I only had a listen to a song or two. That's quite an historic, well loved {worn} Epiphone. And quite a history, belonging to Fred...
