No último show deste ano, realizado no último dia três de dezembro em Mênfis, nos Estados Unidos, eles tocaram "Miss you", "Rough justice", "Get off of my cloud" e "Honky tonk women".

No apoio estão Bernard Fowler, Lisa Fischer e Blondie Chaplin (vocais), Darryl Jones (baixo), Chuck Leavell (teclados), Bobby Keys (saxofone), Tim Ries (saxofone), Michael Davis (trombone) e Kent Smith (trumpete)

VoodooChileInWOnderl So Cohl strikes again, a free concert but a great DVD to be released

In Argentina it won't be a DVD but a live broadcast with full sponsor by big Companies

Young Jake made a fine desicion, while there is little to no money to be made with the South American shows(they will likely make more money at one MSG or United Center show than they will at 3-5 stadium shows in South America), the crowds are the best as the performances typically equal that.

We must all take a few moments to thank Young Jake for making this possible. I am very happy for JJ...he deserves this!

VoodooChileInWOnderl Wait Voodoopug, the Stones don't give this for free at all, if you read the article the cost of the show will be the equivalent of $4.4 Million USD and they will have the production of the DVD. The live ads will cost a lot

The show will be broadcast live with the cameras of GLOBO but the DVD will be produced with the cameras of GLOBO and THE ROLLING STONES, so the broadcast and the DVD won't be the same

SOrry my friend, i must not have worded it well, i was referring to the ticket prices. It is very common for the Stones to package a dvd or pay per view/broadcast from countries that cannot support their high price tag (Bangalore, Rio, etc) This was particularly noticeable during the Licks/Babylon tours. THere is no true need to broadcast a show in the larger markets (unless HBO or PPV shells out big bucks).

moy Rolling Stones to play free concert on Rio beach

By Fernanda Ezabella 53 minutes ago

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - Rock legends the Rolling Stones will play a free concert on Rio de Janeiro‘s famed Copacabana Beach in February, organizers said on Tuesday, and up to 1.5 million people are expected to attend.

"City Hall considers this show to be like another New Year. We will treat it like that," Ana Maria Maia, a Rio official for special events, told a news conference.

The British veterans -- Mick Jagger , Keith Richards , Charlie Watts , Ron Wood -- and support musicians are currently playing across the United States on their "Bigger Bang" tour.

Up to 1.5 million people traditionally gather on Copacabana Beach to celebrate New Year‘s Eve and organizers said they expected a similar number for the February 18 show.

A big security operation will be mounted. Rio is plagued by violent crime which often spills over from the slums ruled by drug gangs into the city streets.

More than 2,400 police will be on duty in three shifts and streets in the Copacabana area will be sealed off, officials said.

It will be the third time in Brazil for the Stones -- once rock‘s most notorious bad boys, now a multimillion-dollar entertainment corporation after more than 40 years together.

Jagger has a young son from a liaison with Brazilian TV presenter and model Luciana Gimenez, who lives in Sao Paulo.

The Stones have performed some notable free concerts in the past, including in London‘s Hyde Park in 1969, and the infamous event at Altamont Speedway in California later that year when Hells Angels who were hired as security guards killed a fan.

Last week the Stones were nominated for a Grammy for their new album "A Bigger Bang," hailed by critics as their best work in years.

VoodooChileInWOnderl I think it was not a good idea to release the St. Louis show as many of the potential cutomers already had it from the broadcast, same for the Miami show in 1994

Is not that bad Voodoo, but I have doubts about you being kidnapped probably it was a typo and it's RAPED

Jair I dont wanna let you down guys, but that Jamari França guy, from "O Globo" is a big liar!

That is not the first time I see articles from him telling lies. It seems a common task to him make up stories...

How "O Globo" is also a news agency (like Reuters, AFP, AP, etc) theirs journalists release the articles to the whole world. And the mess is made.

Now I'm just like that saint: I just believe seeing

very true...but this is the way that Michael (against young jake's wishes) does it...see Four Flicks MSG. They missed the boat big time by not picking a show with a 5+ song variance in Setlists.

Now I shall not even consider traveling to the Rio shows due to fear of Rape. I am to be no ones Tossed Salad!!

Pug......

even if this is a joke (of bad taste anyway), now I call this HUMILIATING and I thought you would never think like that of us......

I really don't know what to say, as I am sad and disgusted with the whole stuff (I mean the whole).

Wise decision, dear Pug.
Be carefull also regarding the cannibal children in Rio. They have a special taste for Americans. I'm sorry to tell you that, but is the sad true, rough and nude.

How people here is always starving (all the time there is some country stealing something from here), the gov't has authorized children to eat foreign citizens, specially those with bodies full of vitamins and fat cells.

The bad news: I won't see you driving you Jag by the Copacabana Beach...Oh my!

About the fear of rape...I seriously doubt that even
a blind man wish rape you...

It was in reference to Voodoo's comment, not at all a knock on you or those that come from South America, aside from the criminals (who are just as degrading in the US). I see you have taken offense and I value your judgement immensely and shall delete the post and offer an apology to you as I never meant it to offend.

I thought we already went through this. I have a lot of respect for JJ, none for you. If he is offended by something I post, then he deserves an apology from me and a deletion of the post. I had offered you peace before, and you had accepted. As it is the holiday season, I am once again suggesting that you can avoid my posts and I say this with a smile...GO FUCK YOURSELF

Voodoopug, my comment was posted after yours, the one that JJF complained of.

Anyway you're going to NYC which is more dangerous than Rio and you don't care too much. Any big city is as danegrous as the places you go.

I have cancelled my trip to NYC. I am sure those at the Rio show will have a great time and if the DVD story turns out to be true, it will be top notch! Happy Holidays to my friend VoodooChile!

I know you do not have a prejudice bone in your large body...I am sorry Jair had to respond so harshly as if he knew you, he would understand you meant no harm............You have helped perform for sick/terminally ill children, supported others on the board in dire times, and provided a great show in Chicago despiute having to beg for $$$ afterwards b/c of low attendance.
