December 11th, 2005 07:37 AM
MRD8 Besides the Buffalo and Cedar Falls I recently got the 10-17 San Fransisco show...it is incomplete, ends after All Down The Line. I will torrent them here soon.
December 11th, 2005 09:40 AM
marko I guess DAC will mix the frisco again with aud tracks.
It is a great show, nice and relaxed.
But Cedar Falls, really kicks ass,i think its almost tighter
than jersey ones.
December 11th, 2005 12:45 PM
MRD8 Cedar Falls is one of the best shows from that tour! Great that we got the soundboard to take the place of the below average audience recording that had been circulating for years...
December 11th, 2005 01:19 PM
marko INDEED.
NOW,we need just more.Where the hell are CLEVELAND shows,
do you ANY hints?
As u know, the aud tapes are bad.
December 11th, 2005 01:25 PM
GimmeExile Is there a good website that explains all of the recordings of the 81 tour? I can't keep track of what's available but am fascinated to learn about the nuances of each recording.
December 11th, 2005 01:43 PM
marko well, you just have to talk with me.
What you need to know?
December 11th, 2005 02:06 PM
keefjunkie what would be a good place to start? whats the best show?
December 11th, 2005 02:30 PM
glencar Cedar Falls, apparently. I wish someone would send me it.
December 12th, 2005 02:45 PM

marko, can you give me a list of all the 81 shows that are available in soundboard?
December 12th, 2005 08:15 PM
texile i hated the sound on that tour -
all sloppy and trebly - not like 78, where it was all sloppy and dirty....
i shudder to think of ernie watts being even LOUDER - that high pitched whine was painful...
i only lets spend the night ONCE and hope to never see it again. my firend is all exited about this news but i thought they were hideous in 81.

Bob Tamp I remember Robert Palmer(deceased critic, not the deceased rocker) saw the show in Atlanta and raved in the NY TIMES and Rolling Stone how the boys blew him away. If this comes out on soundboard, it will be a real treat. The only small gig of the tour besides the warm up in Worcester Mass.

Absolutly! I still have that review from Palmer from RS. He said it was the best Stones' show he had ever seen. That's saying something because he had seen every tour up to that point. I'll tell you this. I was sitting in the 6th row for that show, and it cemented my relationship with the Stones. To this day I have never seen a show that has come even close. This is the reason that I always slam the pretenders. While I like bands like the Crowes, but they have never come close to that Fox '81 Stones' show!

I have been asking marko for this show for a few years now,and he has told me that the only recording that he has of it is an audience recording that was not that great. If this sbd sees the light of day I will gladly pay top dollar just to relive that wonderful night. At one point Jagger actully jumped off the stage and ran through the crowd high fiving people! An insane show, and I haven't been the same since!

GimmeExile marko, thanks for posting the list...Isn't the 10/11 L.A. show available in SBD?

On the 9/25/81 Philly sbd I have ALL DOWN THE LINE cuts off after the opening riff. Is this error on the master or do I have a bad copy?
December 16th, 2005 03:53 PM
marko I donīt remember that cut,iīm must check it.
December 19th, 2005 10:20 AM
