Topic: Question on remasters Return to archive

perfectpawn Is the remastering on 40 Licks as good as that on the remastered Hot Rocks? I know Hot Rocks features SACD, but since I dont have an SACD player, it makes no difference to me. Ive been debating picking up Hot Rocks, but if the remastering job on its the same as 40 Licks, Ill save my precious cash.

Soldatti Both remasters are good, the CD 1 of Forty Licks is excelent.

Egbert One would think that Abkco would be using the same remastered versions on Forty Licks that were used on the non-SACD layer of Hot Rocks since Forty Licks came out after Hot Rocks, but then again you never know with Abkco...
