JumpinJackFlash Well, I bit off more than I can chew my friends, and she delivered right on time, she took the shine right off my shoes..... thank god she was the one I'm gonna marry.
WSe've been doing it andf getting it done, and that's what's love. Yeah, hear me tonight, Let it all come down.

Scottfree It's a gem, no question...
12-15-02 03:44 PM
F505 Still think it's maybe the best song the Stones ever made

Angiegirl One of my ultimate favourites, always have been. Helped me through some tough times. I tend to bite off more than I can chew too usually .

Bluzian mmm, yeah, I must agree, Let It Loose does it for me as well.
Do any of you have the music/tab for it? The chord progression
is too "progressive" for me. Need some help with it.

Cheers,
Ian

throbby I love this song. Give her just about a month I tell ya, just about a month or two... What about the bedroom blues?
12-16-02 10:42 AM
jb The gospel chorous is fantastic..gives me goose pimples everytime I listen...

100 Years Ago amazing song, can listen to it for hours at a time, in addition to the stunning gospel chorus and Mick's heartstopping vocals, always enjoyed Keith's weird Leslie-effect laden guitar. this song is damn near perfection

needs to played live on this tour
12-16-02 11:06 AM
jb Also underrated is Ventilator Blues..simply genius...the whole album is a rock-n-roll bible..The Beatle could never put anything out that even remotely compares...
12-16-02 11:16 AM
100 Years Ago true JB, the Beatles were a pop band and Exile is far from a pop album, on it the Stones took blues, country, gospel, '50s rock and created a whole new type of music, that even they've never been able to recapture that kinda sound, spirit again
12-16-02 11:20 AM
jb I think Let it Bleed was closely aligned with Exile..some blues, country and rock..I guess you could also say that about Beggars and SF as well.... There will never be a series of albums like those again....
12-16-02 02:04 PM
100 Years Ago definitely not, the way bands record every three years today it would be a dozen years separating the first from the fourth, which in Stones terms would've been the period from LIB to TTY, a BIG difference between the band and its sound during that time

not to mention that there's no one out there today who could carry that level of music superiority over four albums, they'd either be dead, broke, busted or all three, not to mention spent creatively probably after the second or maybe third album
12-16-02 02:36 PM
Fiji Joe Yeah...I wish they would have done that tune on Stripped
12-16-02 02:42 PM

JumpinJackFlash Actually, I have the Exile on mainstreet guitar tab book, to play let it loose, you have to put a capo on the first fret, I ploay it all the time.
