12-10-02 11:56 AM
magicwoman But slash was a fan from the stones to
12-11-02 07:58 PM
lotsajizz Fuckoff JB..you're as wrong here as elsewhere....

12-11-02 10:15 PM
throbby You mean Guns and Poses don't you? Come to think of it who fucking cares. Bring on the Stones.
12-12-02 07:09 AM
corgi37 slash aint shit. he might be a fan of the stones, but so is 3/4 of the civilised world. he's more of an imitator: opened shirt, bottle of spirits, cig hanging outta mouth, drug problem. He's like a Hawaiian Keith, or Puerto Rican Keith, or what ever the hell ethnic mix he is. Gnr suck as much today as they did 15 years ago (yep, appetite for destruction was out in 87). Only good thing those bunch of tossers ever did was pinch the drummer from the CULT.
12-12-02 07:40 AM
Maxlugar Slash is 1/2 African Amercian and 1/2 Whitey.

Which is interesting considering their song One in a Million.

I'm worried about Axl.
12-12-02 09:36 AM
Moonisup slash is ok, good guy and a stonesfan, he hangs around with them a lot, a real wanna be keith

the rest of G 'n' R is well, rubbish
12-12-02 09:48 AM
Boomhauer OK, here's how it is. GNR had one good album, AFD, and the rest is just crap. Maybe, some of AFD is real crap as well.

I don't get why people stick up for this band and talk about the past. Why do people do that? It's not the same people in the group today as they were in 1987.

When people start arguing about how they were and supposedly how good they are now (lol), they don't realize that this band doesn't give a shit about people in the stands and that they ruined their own tour. The "fans" didn't cancel dates and not show up. Axl and his guys didn't have it in them and Axl didn't do shit to prepare for the road.
12-12-02 10:48 AM
Maxlugar I agree that Axl, if he really wanted to get back on the horse, should have booked this turd like band into large clubs for this tour.

That way he could have seen if he was still into it or had it at all anymore. He should have hit the road as Axl Rose, too. This was not GNR.

I can't believe the money he wasted. Other peoples money! And the time and effort he wasted. Other peoples time and effort!

He is complete toast now. No one will touch him.

But I don't know why people see the need to bash the real GNR though. They were an incredibly talented band with a REAL rock and roll aura. AFD is a classic and the two UYI albums took it even further.

This all will make the greatest Behind the Music ever.

Such talent. Such waste.

They make Maxy cry.

Maxy!

Busch1 A friend of mine who was supposed to go to the canceled GNR Philly show with me came up with this list. Just thought I'd share:

Top 10 Reasons That Guns & Roses Cancelled:

10. Axl got held up doing an interview for "The Recluse Times"
9. Pissed that Steven Adler stole the spotlight with his cure for cancer
8. Went to "The Office" instead (The Office is a sleazy Philly strip club)
7. Decided there aren't enough flaming assholes in the world of pop music these days
6. Axl still worn out from that MTV VMA appearance
5. Tommy got really drunk and kept screaming "what're the chords to that part?" (ala "Treatment Bound").
4. Someone switched Buckethead's bucket with a bedpan...and Bedpanhead just isn't cool.
3. There hasn't been a good riot in Philly since "Tougher Than Leather" opened.
2. Philly is, and always has been, a strictly DUFF town.
1. Axl suddenly realized that it isn't 1991 anymore.

12-12-02 12:15 PM
Maxlugar So funny.

I'm really afraid though, that Axl will off himself over this.

Hey, big up to Spain huh? Friggin' Spain with their daring commando's raiding that North Korean cargo ship.

Spain is evidently a great friend of the U.S.A. We need more friends like that!

France, are you listening?

Oui!

Maxy!

lotsajizz The new band was not 'turd like'; being the only one here to have seen them, I can state unhesitatingly they are FAR better musically than the original incarnation. It's not their fault their leader and singer is insane.

They should've limited themselves to a few major cities, at the very least. MSG sold out quickly, but sales at many of the venues were very poor.

I'm assuming Chinese Democracy's release will be further delayed.
12-12-02 03:54 PM
Maxlugar Oh my God! Is Lotsajizz Sean?
12-12-02 03:57 PM
jb Yes Max....

doo doo doo Dude Saw the real GnR open for the Stones in '89 and they sucked. Axl threw a big hissy-fit then. Things haven't changed. good riddance.

crb69 Jean Stapleton for vox! That fucking rules. I have to crack up again. I was a big fan of GNR back when they came out. The first time I saw them they opened for Aerosmith & Deep Purple @ Giants Stadium. They were filming part of Paradise City. Axl must have been jonesing or something. He got all pissed off because the stadium was half full when they went on and everyone up front was farting around paying him no mind. At one point he told the crowd to suck his dick. That's when I realized he was a bigger asshole than I thought. Now he doesn't show up for his own shows. He's riding on the band's old name and tunes with other musicians. Hey Axl, you're a fucking disgrace to the masterpiece you created. A prime example of how money and fame can screw up the best of them. I hope Slash, Izzy, Duff & Matt come back with real cool material. They've been jamming with the Days of the New singer Travis Meeks (who seems a bit of a jerk for firing his original band). Anything's gotta be better than a whiney techno ridin' chinese democracy. Axl's performance at the last awards show was an absolute disgrace. He sang all out of tune...give it up, your 15 minutes of fame ended in '91. Go produce rap records or pornos with Snoop Dog. Anything but continuing GNR. You lost it ever since Izzy left...
12-12-02 11:38 PM
sirmoonie I just wish Slash, Izzy and Duff had put something together like 9 years ago, instead of splintering off in bits and pieces and fading away they did. What a waste of talent.

1988-1992 was a relatively great period in rock, but thats another topic.

Corgi, you need to go back to writing porn reviews and looking for poopdeck tickets. Slash is a fucking great guitar player, one of the few I've ever cared about. Coma, Estranged, Breakdown, etc. I hate guitar solos, but that man sings the fucker up the way many people think Mick Taylor does. And his licks are cool as hell, check out that Sweet Child vid, he KNOWS it the notes you don't play too.

I'm grateful for GnR and I'm glad some of you ballbaginistic types have been trashing them, because it made me dig them out and luv them all over agin!

Yeah, well you can forget about France. They're "down" with the Arab's. Our only friends in the world are Israel, India, Australia and Sweden (<-maybe).
12-13-02 12:57 AM
sirmoonie Israel? Sweden? Yeah, if being commies and lying your ass off and spying on you counts as friendship, then maybe they are.

Otherwise, the UK and most of its commonwealth, especially Australia, New Zealand, and Canada are the greatest friends the US has ever had.

And Mustique. Mustique is the hidden US partner in the War against Everything that Sucks. Very behind the scenes, but its importance can never be discounted. The upcoming Mustique Conference may just be where global conflict is finally figured out.
12-13-02 02:15 AM
Pants Make the Man Sorry, sirmoonie, but my mind is made up. There is just as much (more, in some case's) anti-American sentiment in England and Canada as any other place. Sep 11 warmed their anti-American heart's...something akin to Mick singing "you and me" killed the Kennedy's.

Maxlugar Hey Moonie, I know what you say about the other members fading away.

Slash is still a house hold name due to his guest appearances though.

In that interview with Duff that I was talking about, he says his friggin' spleen exploded for alcoholism back in the mid '90's.

Jesus Christ that has got to be up there with a Nolte.

Since then he's cleaned up and even went back to school for finance. He's very upbeat about life and getting back together with the guys (minus Axl, of course)

I've always like Duff. Too me he was the funniest and most fucked up.

Extremely talented too.

Can't wait for the new stuff.
12-13-02 08:11 AM
corgi37 sirmoonie, with great respect..you may of course drop dead! if slash is your idea of a guitar hero, then i pity you. Why, it was only 12 years ago that grunge destroyed gnr, even before they destroyed themselves. Remember how funny it was to see those bicyle shorts while bands like soundgarden made gnr the overblown bon jovi they were! Fucking short memories people! By 92, gnr were a joke. Grunge destroyed the hair bands. and thank saint fuck for that.
12-13-02 08:20 AM
Zeeta Who the fuck mentioned politics..sad fuckers.
Slash is a great guitarist, no question. And in their day AFD, GNR just like the Stones were shit hot!
