December 12th, 2005 12:17 PM
ThatsWhatISay Sorry but I don't understand why this show should be wide open if all seats are sold out (as egon said) and only a few thousand field tickets are left. did I miss anything??
December 12th, 2005 01:12 PM
Jumacfly Hi there, thanks Egon but I will probably focus my long quest to find tix on Barcelona's show.

as has been the case with many shows this tour, poor first day sales lead the Cohls (Michael and Young Jake) to pull many tickets from the on sale offering. They will then be offered to sponsors. Anything leftover will then be papered out as comp tickets. In Las Vegas, typically a very strong market, nearly 7K seats went unsold and had to be distributed out.

Extremely low ticket prices in many european venues will aid in the total amount of tickets sold. The Stones must play many shows in the US just so that they can make enough money to play in the rest of the world, and scrape whatever fans have not spent all of the concert allotment on Macca or U2.

Many good seats will become available at all stadium venues across Europe as the unsold tickets become released. Most are Wide Open...even the UK shows have not sold out!

voodoopug, I still don't get it. As egon said seats are sold out, only fieldtickets left. Why is this a poor selling show?

Sorry but I can't follow your Jake & Michael Cohl argumentation in this case...

Much like with EVERY SHOW this tour, thousands of tickets are being held back and not offered for sale. Michael, against Young Jake's wishes, only releases the amount of tickets he feels will sell quickly, creating a faux sell out. There will literally be thousands of tickets coming available between now and show time. I suspect at least half of the tickets have not been made available to the general public. This show will be WIDE OPEN until the last few minutes!

Moonisup the whole european leg is selling REALLY slow,
